1. The Wind-up
They sing about love but almost every their song has a great ending.

“Reminiscent of early Brand New, the boys’ dove into an energetic set of their heartfelt songs much to the crowds delight. They had a strong stage presence and chemistry which was evident not only through their music, through their stage banter as well. The combination of Rob’s earnest vocals with the strong emotional instrumentation gives way to a fantastic sound which should not be looked over.”
They sound heavier at the concerts and I like lead singer’s glasses. Band sounds and looks very professional.
“Is a Brooklyn Based Electronic Rock outfit that Yahoo/Rhapsody calls “on par with the best Depeche Mode tracks ever recorded.”Currently playing out as a 3 piece act with Drummer JTR3 and Guitarist Tommy Hawkins, and RFA frontman and song writer Sage Rader, Ready Fire Aim has captured the minds and ears of millions of listeners worldwide, charting not only on satellite, internet and traditional FM radio but on playlists of hundreds of boutiques, restaurants and salons. Working on the follow up album to 2008’s This Changes Nothing, Sage is in the studio with a stable of producers pushing the boundaries of modern electronic pop music and holding workshops with teen musicians paving the way for another wave of inspired artists move the dance floor.”
2. J.Viewz
Very eclectic. They play reggae, electronica funk and everything else. Girl has a great voice.
“Award winning Electronica project arrives with the “Live” outfit of J.Viewz; featuring lead vocalist Noa Lembersky, MC Urijah, and a 5-piece band with a unique combination of Vocals, electronic beats, live drums and Turntables, going from Breakbeat to Jazz, Electro and Reggae. J.Viewz arrives at Don Hills just after having their MJ cover “Smooth Criminal” topping playlists worldwide, Including UK’s prestigious Jazz FM, and just before releasing the first single of the next album.”
I’ve met all of these bands this year at Don Hills and Arlene’s Grocery. Would love to discover more cool independent bands. Any suggestions?
